Don’t Pass on the Super Chocolate Bowl this week in Glendale
Feb. 5 is Super Bowl Sunday, and with Super Bowl 2015 preparations underway, coupled with an exciting rematch of the Giants and Patriots, the Glendale CVB is encouraging fans to get into the spirit with a contest at the Glendale Visitor Center. Residents and visitors may take part in the “Super Chocolate Bowl,” which involves guessing how many Cerreta chocolate footballs are in the bowl during the event. The winner will receive a Cerreta’s chocolate basket and a pair of tickets to a spring training game at Camelback Ranch-Glendale. The Glendale Visitor Center is located at 5800 W. Glenn Drive, and participants must be 18 years or older. The contest runs now through Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 5. |

Peoria's Celebrates our State Centennial - February 3
The city of Peoria is having a fun event to help mark Arizona's Centennial on Friday, February 3 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Peoria Sports Complex, there will be a vintage baseball game where players will use the type of equipment and rules from 1912, high school homerun challenge, local Little Leaguers playing in old time uniforms and a Cactus League Museum display, as well as free giveaways for the first 400 kids 17 and under and a kid's entertainment area. The evening event will be capped with a fireworks display to start at approximately 9:00 p.m. For more information go to www.peoriaaz.gov/specialevents or call 623-773-7137.

Glendale Ave. The Open Air Market continues the first Saturday of each month through May. |
